Sewing patterns for kids and sewing
Thes are my favourite:
Just because the Designer's Curve is the more popular one does not mean this curve is not important. The Tailor's Curve, as it is called helps to sort out the most troublesome and minutest of curves. It performs this immensely difficult task with a "spot-on" accuracy that you will not find hard to spot! It is difficult to find the accuracy provided by this curve in any other fashion pattern making tool.
Sewing patterns can be customised according to ones needs and then they can be modified to cater a particular design. Many times some runway designs can be modified and translated to fit our body type. Each time our custom fitted pattern will help us to create designer outfits that are well fitted and exclusive to us.
It is not difficult to make your own sewing patterns, but it is a bit time consuming, depending on the type of pattern that you wish to make. Some of the materials that you will need are tissue paper, iron, tape, pencil, marker, ruler, and a pair of scissors.
Once you go to the shop to buy your fabrics, double check that you have everything you need including supplies, before leaving the store. Read the instructions found within the envelope that usually comes with the sewing patterns page, make notes and ensure you know which steps to follow in order to avoid unnecessary stopping after you've started. Taking breaks in between to check the instructions page can cause an uneven pattern that's caused by "stop and go" with a standard machine. If you have one of the newer models that have a stop and go function without interrupting the sewing, you're all good so definitely look into buying a better machine to eliminate this problem.
These parts are also available in the stores or on the internet. You should always be careful about the parts. If the parts are not up to the mark then the machine will not work in the best possible way.
Accurate Designs
This is all the more important if you are not a professional sewer and sew just for fun. It's unseam, hip curve and its back and front crotch curves make it the most unique piece in the fashion sewing industry. Famous designers cannot work without this curve.
Pattern Number: If you are purchasing your pattern from a fabric store, you will look at the pattern number, write it down and go to the pattern drawer for that brand of pattern. You will find your pattern by the number coded system.
Before you buy the pattern, make sure to take the measurements first. If you are using it to create clothes for your kid then do not forget to take their measurements. If you are using it for yourself, then measure yourself or have someone, do the measurement for you. This will help ensure that you get the pattern that fits your body shape and size.
To fit a sewing pattern without doing and major pattern alterations, check your measurements against the sizing guide and choose one size larger overall than you need. Cut the pattern to this size.
 Sequins and some other things.
Even the best designer's of the world cannot afford to give this instrument a slip and so the tailor's curve is present in the world's best studios. Like the previous one, this too has a ruler attached to it. There are seven rulers assembled in one ruler.
If you want to learn more about drafting your own sewing patterns then you can even go for the pattern design seminar. These seminars take place once a while and they are quite helpful.
